Notes from the revolution
2008-NOV-18: Ed Naile reports on a recount victory
Quote:
From 1:00 PM to about 5:5:00 we went through the motions of counting all the ballots the machines and ballot clerks counted already, winding up with something like a 3 or 4 vote difference. Not quite the 58 Tom [Keane] needed.Ah, but when the totals of all votes counted were re-totaled there was a 70 vote difference. That would be 70 as in a 7 and a 0 side by side. And in the world of numbers 70 is larger than 58.
Bonus: an allegation by Ed Naile that Rep Charles Weed tampered with the voter registration process:
Quote:
Chuck Weed helped hand out, at the 2006 election in Keene, home made same day registration applications instead of the State forms because he did not like the perjury clause in the legal forms. The AG's Office sent Bud Fitch out to stop him, which he did. It was in the papers and several of our people were there. Weed should have been charged with tampering with public documents.
The definition of a fantastic guy ends at voter fraud for me.
2008-NOV-16: RidleyReport scores a hit
Until recently all attempts at being our own media have languished with dozens to hundreds of hits per video. But recently there's been a sea change. Dave Ridley's most recent videos are getting way over a thousand hits each in a few days.
Here's one that's gotten over five thousand hits in about a day:
What's going on here? It seems that arrogant judges and police in Keene are getting a lot of attention. We raise the hue and cry about arrogant politicians and union thugs and we get far less traction. But when law enforcement gets out of hand somebody out there sits up and takes notice.
Who's driving up the counts? Could this be the NHFree crowd that loves civil disobedience stunts and refuses to vote or run for office? The comments section suggests so. If so then we're still not reaching the people at large. But give them credit for driving up page hits. That helps improve a video's ranking and may indirectly help it be seen by more people.
Or it could just be Ian Freeman's status as a minor celebrity.
Also Dave has a lot of keywords in his info text.
2008-NOV-1: Lit drop for Jim Forsythe and Dave Mincin
I'd been meaning to hook up with the Seacoast Liberty group for a long time. I subscribed to their meetup group and got notifications but there were always scheduling conflicts. Finally I was able to connect.
I'd done 'tubing' before, stuffing fliers into newspaper boxes. These guys take it to a higher level. They've got professional looking full color postcards printed up. They put several pieces of literature into a plastic bag with holes to hang them up on. This last part is crucial. This means they can leave packets at homes that don't have newspaper boxes by hanging them on the flag of the mailbox. The holes are too small to fit over the flags but you can stretch them.
They go out two to a car. The driver gets mailboxes on the left and the passenger gets mailboxes to the right. Each pair has a designated section of the district and is given a map denoting his section. They begin at a staging area, in this case Tom Hudson's home. They meet at a pizza place afterward to compare notes and get the blood sugar back up.
Some minor points of criticism: use bigger bags. My inexpert hands had a hard time stuffing the items into these small baggies. And don't drive stick shift.
All in all I'm very impressed. I think this is a model for how to campaign on the cheap.
2008-AUG-20 Comment censorship on Andrew Sylvia's nhinsider.com blog
Quote:
I've made responses to the blogs of state Rep candidate Andy Sylvia on nhinsider.com. All have vanished. There are some things Andy does not want us to know. Such as that the state Rep he praises [(Mike Kaelin)] has an F from the Liberty Alliance and that he refused to give a straight answer on a broadbased tax but gave many hints on merrimackforum.org that he intends to vote for one. merrimackforum.org has since then taken down the entire board. That board also contained forensic evidence that a certain Rick D'Alarcao (?) of Health and Human Services was posting thousands of flames from work when he ought to have been earning his keep.
I don't stand still for censorship so I'll just post this information elsewhere starting right here.
2008-AUG-17 When government bureaucrats attack (Link used to be here)

Posting from 24.62.214.198, Comcast address:RD wrote:You're obviously not very bright if you don't know my identity. I've stated my name several times on this forum. I am not anonymous and I stand behind my every comment. I'm not a coward like TCF and platypusman.
By the way, are you Neil Rowland from Fremont? If not, who are you? Do you stand behind that ugly comment you made about me, or are you also a coward?
1. Who wants to know?
2. I stand by it. See #1 above.
The local constable is aware that certain wack-knobs have made veiled threats toward me and harassed me on the phone but let's get YOUR name on the record. In the meantime I'll publicize all available information about you in case you decide to do something rash.
Other IP addresses RD has used:
199.192.1.7 1424 posts - State of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services
199.192.1.1 626 posts - ditto
67.21.254.65 625 posts - RoadRunner/Adelphia I thinkPlus various Comcast IPs and a Verizon or two. But the top two are most revealing. He appears to be a welfare state bureaucrat of some sort, some piece of deadwood living off OUR tax dollars. So THAT'S what he fears to lose!
Holy smoke that's a lot of posts. This guy has a lot of time on his hands over at HHS. And a lot of IP addresses. I'm supposed to rummage through all this for an alleged mention of a name? I think I'll let the police do that if it should become necessary.
UPDATE: I've found RD claiming his name is Rick D'Alarcao.
UPDATE: RD later threatened me with a lawsuit online for ciritcizing him. What a bully. This looks like it's a favorite tactic of 'progressives' types. Remember Chaz Proulx made veiled threats of legal action.
UPDATE: merrimackforum.org has taken down the entire board. What I excerpted here is now the only remaining evidence to my knowledge. But that means RD will have an even harder time executing any threatened lawsuit against me.
I stand by my statements. The electronic evidence may be mostly gone but there are witnesses.
2008-AUG-15: Chaz Proulx jumps the shark
Over at nhinsider.com Chaz has topped himself for overblown rhetoric, selective outrage and disingenuousness.
Here he is misrepresenting a politically incorrect blogger:
Quote:
When a front page blogger rags on Unitarians for no good reason just a month after the shootings, no one blinks an eye. Those comments were jarringly out of place in the bloggers own thread. I know that writer isn’t a violent or threatening person, but I would have thought that under the circumstances he might have thought twice before hinting that Libertarians aren’t good Christian Churchgoers.
The actual thread he seems to be referring to is right here if you're interested.
And here's his spin on all those videos of Shaheen and Shea-Porter dodging questions and banning cameras:
Quote:
When a front page blogger shows a video of a man hollering and intimidating Democrats—mostly women—the usual suspects here see an act of political courage rather than thuggish behavior.
Chaz knows a thing or two about thuggish behavior. He once called me up on the phone to swear at me and threaten legal action for about fifteen minutes. The guy sure can dish it out but he can't take it.
Speaking truth to power and demanding straight answers to questions is not thuggish behavior, it IS political courage.
He also find fault with yours truly:
Quote:
When Neil Rowland writes that a “slap” would do our Congresswoman some good, I don’t see any outrage. And to make matters worse, Neil Rowland is helping a candidate running for the United States Congress. This isn’t some obscure bar fly muttering in his beer folks!
I stand by my remark. Somebody close to Carol should do her the favor of slapping her and telling her to come to her senses. If not I expect she'll get a slap at the polls.
All this is standard behavior for Chaz. Why does any of this matter? Because Chaz Proulx is running for the state Senate. Haven't we got enough left wing loonies in Concord already? Besides it's obvious he's not ready for political power in a representative democracy.
2008-JUL-16: Videography gathers momentum
The first big New Hampshire videographer was Dave Ridley. He set out to cover the state political news that the mainstream media was neglecting.
He's inspired a number of emulators. I'm one of them. Another is "Biker" Bill Alleman. And there's TackleTheWorld. Now I'm seeing channels with activists attempting to question left wing politicians and getting their evasions and bullying on record. There's EmployeeFreedomNH and RandolphCarter777.
The mainstream media won't cover our side of the story. But the new media is poised to replace the slowly dying mainstream media. The 'liberal' types are using video mostly for slick propaganda political ads. But OUR side is using it to document what is happening and to question their politicians. That's a huge difference indicating fundamentally different mindsets. They use communication channels to manipulate. We use them to inform. They use big money and centralized control. We organize from the bottom up, informally and in a spirit of individualism and liberty.
There are also talking head type programs both on the Internet and on public access cable, but I don't think these are nearly as impacting as documenting actual personalities and happenings on video. Getting a camera in a politician's face and asking hard questions is as revealing as it gets. Plus it's good entertainment. Talking head shows tend to be dull.
Now all we need to do is publicize our video channels so the average voter will know of them. I haven't found the perfect solution for that but I'm doing what I can to raise awareness of this site and others.
