2008-JUN-30: Tim Comerford's house flier text:
Concord Is Out Of Control!
I am running for State House to restore New Hampshire values to Concord, and to preserve the NH low-tax advantage. The Democrats treated the responsibility entrusted in them by the voters last election as a mandate to run roughshod over the Constitution; Parental rights have been challenged, spending is up 17.5 percent, and the legislature has wasted our constituency's time on matters unrelated to state business, such as the Ludicrous impeachment bill HR 24 proposed by Democrat Betty Hall. The House even went as far as instituting a bill that would fine people $250 dollars for accidentally releasing a helium balloon! Talk about a waste of our time.
The House must be returned to the people, so that it can focus on business that matters to the communities of Epping and Fremont. Spiraling spending will damage our way of life, trivialities like Impeachment and a fine on helium balloons do nothing to solve our education funding issues. It is time to elect strong leadership to get the job done! I have signed the pledge to cap state spending, and be as fiscally responsible as you have to be in daily life. I will always uphold the Constitution of both this state, and the Nation, as they are the legal principles upon which we were founded. By making Constitutional decisions, cutting wasteful spending, and listening directly to your concerns, I will help keep NH income and sales tax free!
On The Issues:
- I SUPPORT a spending cap to ensure fiscal responsibility in state budgeting
- I OPPOSE any sales or income tax, as these are detrimental to the economic growth of the state
- I SUPPORT the restoration of parental notification for abortions involving a minor. The law's repeal was grossly irresponsible, as your parental rights were severely challenged. Parents are the guardians of their children's health and safety, and I intend to keep it that way!
-I will always SUPPORT any bill that is consistent with the right of the people to keep and bear arms.
Always feel free to contact me with your questions and concerns at 339-2930. This is the most important part of the job!
“In times of an over-burdening bureaucracy and out of control government spending, it's important to know that someone is on your side. A vote for Tim Comerford is a vote for principle over politics! I'd appreciate your support in November!”
