Also let me the set the record straight. I didn't call the police to complain. I emailed my local police chief to advise him that there was a possible loony calling me up to swear at me in a disjointed fashion so if I turned up dead they'd have a lead. I specifically asked him not to make a big deal about unless there was violence. But you really were off your rocker that day Chaz. You couldn't even form a coherent sentence. I only wished I could have recorded that rant.

On a related note USMC Sgt. Peter MacDonald is still running for state Senate. Remember he was deemed NOT a threat after Shea-Porter's staff had him locked up for 30 days. More to the point there was NO SPECIFIC THREAT in the letter.

For the record I have never asked to have Chaz locked up.

Chaz you and your kind have no concept of free speech at all. You seem to think it only goes one way and that your side is above being questioned.

suzanne: at worst Mr. MacDonald is no more of a raving nutball than Chaz is. I guess I'm damning him with faint praise here but the point is it's frighteningly totalitarian for an elected official to have somebody locked up on a pretense in retaliation for criticizing her harshly.

An extra detail: Chaz tried to talk Peter Bearse into taking me off the campaign. As a measure of the quality of Chaz' rapport with various people let me say I only heard of this from Chaz himself. Peter Bearse is a very polite man. Perhaps Chaz read too much into that.

But Chaz perceives a heavily edited and substantially rewritten version of reality. He's one of those spinmeisters who believes his own spin.

He seems to have this narrative lodged in his head that Carol is some brave and honorable warrior for truth being unfairly attacked by a pack Rethuglican jackals. The truth is she's being fairly counterattacked by angry constituents who are fed up with her.

And I'm NOT a Republican. I'm an independent and a constituent. If the Republicans want in on this fight that's fine with me. But if Chaz is going to give me credit for starting this resistance then it wasn't started by Republicans!

Chaz chose the wrong side. He tried to defend the indefensible and now he has to defend himself.

It's a good thing I never have any conversation with these people off the record [if I can help it]. With everything on record it will be harder for them to twist my words and get away with it.

That's not to say they won't try. The face slap business for example. To say that Carol needs a slap in the face in not a threat, it's an assertion. An assertion that I stand by and that is well supported by evidence. I really do think it would do her a world of good.
