Taking a spatula to the voting tabulator around quarter past eight in Fremont. They had started counting absentee ballots at 1PM but were still opening envelopes and trying to unjam the machine when I left around 8:20.
The machine wasn't the only thing overheating. The election officials were all rather testy as you can well imagine.

The Democrat sign holders joked that this dog was voting for Obama. At least I THINK they were joking.
You know, with the news I'm seeing from the rest of the country I'm not so sure they were joking.

These girls came all the way from Tufts to hold up signs at Fremont, New Hampshire for Democrat candidates, including local candidates Lynch, Shaheen and Shea-Porter. They came from various states and had only the vaguest notions who these candidates were but they were very well organized.
When I pointed out that they were from out of state someone complained and sicced chief Janvrin from me as a form of censorship by proxy. The chief seemed a little uncomfortable being used this way and acknowledged up front there was a free speech issue.

The Democrat strategy seems to be lots and lots of signs and then some more signs. Seems creepily totalitarian to me but then everything about Carol Shea-Porter seems creepily totalitarian to me.
